Greenhouse Gas Emissions Dashboard

One of the many ways in which we assess our sustainability efforts is by consistently measuring and monitoring our greenhouse gas emissions. Greenhouse gases are gases that are often emitted when we use certain types of energy, like electricity or gasoline, and they contribute to the Earth’s greenhouse effect by absorbing infrared radiation, causing the Earth’s temperature to rise. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most prominent greenhouse gas emitted by government facilities, and as such we track our green house gas emissions in Metric Tons of CO2 (MTCO2). We also track our base energy consumption across four different categories (Electricity, Natural Gas, Water, and Vehicle Fuel), as it provides a breakdown of where our greatest sources of emission are.
