Computer & Electronics Recycling

NOTE: As of July 1, 2021, electronics recycling will no longer be available at the Public Works Warehouse. We encourage you to recycle these materials at the Wake County Convenience Center, located at 6300 Old Smithfield Road in Apex.

The Town of Apex accepts computer equipment and electronics that are dropped off at the Public Works Warehouse facility located at 105 Upchurch Street between 7am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. Follow the e-Waste signs to the designated drop-off location, please do not leave electronics outside the door of any facility.

Acceptable Materials

The program will accept computer equipment and electronics from Apex residential recycling customers only (no businesses please). These items are properly destroyed and processed by the town’s eStewards certified recycler. Computers that are in good working condition can be donated to local charities as a tax deductible contribution.

Wake County has a multi-material recycling facility at the South Wake Landfill where computers from local businesses and county residents are accepted at no charge.
