Obtaining Public Copies of Police Reports and Accident Reports

By Email

If you are emailing a request, please include the report number, date of the incident, names of parties involved and the officer’s name. You can email our records office at records@apexnc.org.

By Mail or Fax

If you are mailing a request, please include the report number, date of the incident, names of parties involved and the officer’s name. If you are faxing the request, please include all of the same information and send it to (919) 387-3056.

If you do not have the report number - call (919) 249-3460 and a records clerk will assist you in locating the report.

The records office usually receives reports 48-72 hours after the officer files them.

To obtain copies of call logs for a location, statistical information on a location, summary reports, 911 calls or radio calls please complete our Records Request Form (PDF) and submit it to our records office.
