Registration begins Saturday, January 20, 2018 for Apex residents and Saturday, February 3, 2018 for non-residents. Registration will be held at the Apex Community Center (53 Hunter St.) during normal business hours.
About Spring Soccer
All leagues are coed and are for ages 5-17. Practices are held on weeknights with games played on Saturdays and occasional Sundays. Practices begin the week of March 19. Games begin April 7 and the season will end by June 10.
League age is based on a player’s age on June 30, 2018. Each team will be made-up with boys and girls in the following divisions:
- Rookies (5-6)
- Pee Wee (7-8)
- Mites (9-10)
- Major (11-12)
- Junior (13-14)
- Senior (15-17)

Knowledgeable volunteer coaches are the backbone and face of our youth athletic programs. They teach skills, provide leaderships, and lead practices and games throughout the season. League schedules vary, but most leagues have one practice each week and a game on Saturday. Soccer leagues will also have an occasional game on Sunday or during the week.
All of our coaches are trained and certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). All volunteers are required to complete a background check before participating in any practices or games. The Town of Apex follows guidelines suggested by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) for denying applications to serve as a volunteer coach.
