ABC Permits

When applying for an ABC permit there are several classifications and several documents that you will need to provide.

Retail Permits

You will need to submit the following documents to the Police Department to apply for a retail ABC permit:

Completed ABC Commission Local Government Opinion Form
Completed ABC Inspection/Zoning Compliance Form
Photocopy of a valid government issued identification (Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, etc.)
Detailed diagram of the area to be permitted (must include table layout and proposed barriers)
Completed, signed and notarized Apex Police Department Application Form (PDF)

You will need to submit the following documents for a special occasion, temporary or special one time permit:

Completed ABC Commission Application for a Special Occasion or Temporary ABC Permit
Complete appropriate document
- Town of Apex Temporary Use Permit (Contact TOA Planning Department)
- Halle Cultural Arts Center Rental Agreement (Contact Halle Cultural Arts)
- Parade - Picket Permit
Photocopy of a valid government issued identification (Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, etc.)
Detailed diagram of the area to be permitted (must include table layout and proposed barriers)
Completed, signed and notarized Apex Police Department Application Form (PDF)

Yes, we can notarize your documents for you.
We have 15 days to process your request however most requests are processed within 5 business days all required documents are submitted.
We will notify you when your application is ready for pick up. Once you receive our call you can pick it up during our normal office hours (Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm)
The ABC Inspection/Zoning Compliance Form needs to be completed by the following Town of Apex Departments: Inspections (919) 249-3418, Fire (919) 249-1040, Planning (919) 249-3426
