Halloween

What happens in Apex during the spookiest time of the year? Here are a few things you should know!

Trick-or-Treating

In Apex, kids typically do their trick-or-treating on the day that Halloween is nationally recognized (October 31st), no matter what day of the week it falls on. The town does not set a date for trick-or-treating. All ages are welcome to trick-or-treat.

Halloween Activities

Check out a few options to celebrate the season! Note: The Trick-or-Treat on Salem Street event is no longer held.

  • Witches Night Out (organized by the Apex Downtown Business Association)
  • Tour of Frights: Visit homes and businesses decked out with spooky or fall-themed decorations
  • Scarecrow Row & Haunted Nature Trail: Visit Apex Community Park's Scarecrow Row from October 21 - 31 and check out all the community-decorated scarecrows! Bring a flashlight if you'd like to visit after dark - the park closes at 10 pm.
  • Goblin's Groove Family Dance: Celebrate the season with costumes, dancing, spooky snacks, and more!
