Street Hockey Rinks

The street hockey rinks opened in March of 2025 in partnership with the Carolina Hurricanes and the NHL's Industry Growth Fund, which contributed $550,000 to help bring this new amenity to life. Features include two 160-by-75-foot street hockey rinks with aluminum prefabricated dasher board systems, player benches, penalty boxes, scorekeeper boxes, chain length fencing, mateflex sport court tile and scoreboards. One rink is outfitted as a multipurpose court, offering hockey, futsal, and basketball, while the other will strictly be for hockey.

The Red Rink is closer to the parking lot whereas the Black Rink has a basketball goal. Please refer to the Rink Use Calendars below for times designated for specific activities on each rink. These activities will have priority over other uses. Organized team games or practices should not take place without a reservation. Rink Safety

  1. Helmet is mandatory for safety, especially for protecting your head from falls or puck impact. A hockey helmet with a face mask or cage is preferred, as it helps protect your face from balls, pucks, or sticks.
  2. Mouthguard is highly recommended to protect your teeth, gums, and jaw from potential impacts.
  3. Hockey gloves protect your hands, fingers, and wrists from slashes, falls, and impact with the ball or puck.
  4. Shin guards protect your lower legs and knees from balls, pucks, or sticks and should be worn by all players.
  5. Elbow pads protect your elbows and forearms in case of a fall or collision.
