The goal of this project is to stabilize and restore 2,100 feet of Nature Park stream flowing directly into Beaver Creek, and enhance the natural area surrounding it. Improving the surrounding areas will reduce flooding and improve bank erosion.
Restoration of the stream channel will increase stability and promote self-maintenance by using natural channel design techniques and procedures. This project will improve water quality by reducing streambank erosion rates. Native vegetation will be added. This stream is important because it flows to Jordan Lake, which serves as a drinking water supply.
